The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities has once again updated its guidance document setting out general advice and information for estate and letting agents, as well as those moving home.
Following the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the government says it has been necessary to re-introduce some measures to manage the virus, albeit with revised rules on ending self isolation period.
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities encourages all property professionals to familiarise themselves with the relevant government guidance and any supplementary information issued by their representative bodies.
Estate and letting agents, removers, valuers, and people in sales and letting offices and show homes are encouraged to follow the guidance to keep themselves and others safe.
The general advice issued by The Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities states: “We urge everyone involved in the home buying and selling process to continue to follow good hygiene practices, including regular hand-washing, sanitising, and cleaning. These measures will help prevent the spread of infection.
“We encourage all parties involved to be as flexible as possible and be prepared to delay moves, for example if one of those involved becomes ill with COVID-19 during the moving process or has to self-isolate.”
